When we talk about the 2-step, your first thoughts may be geared toward the dance move. You wouldn't be wrong. Two-stepping has had its moments of popularity!
But today I am going to be talking about a 2-step process that could make life easier, healthier and ultimately make you want to do a happy dance!
I am, of course, talking about the 2-step process that makes LastGerm.com a heavy-hitter in germ killing.
What is the 2-step process?
Well, as the name implies, it is a process involving two steps using two of our Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) listed products to not only kill germs, microbes and other nasty things, but to keep on protecting you, your family, your co-workers, your friends, your enemies, and basically anyone who enters the areas that you have protected using the 2-step process.
While conventional disinfectants and antimicrobials kill microbes by poisoning them with toxic chemicals, our system is odor-free, environmentally neutral, safe to use in child and pet areas, and can remain antimicrobial active for an extended period of time.
Even those other products that achieve results with nontoxic ingredients are designed to both act and dissipate quickly to avoid harm to humans and animals. Unfortunately, as soon as the disinfectant evaporates, so does its antimicrobial capabilities.
Our 2-step process begins with completely killing any existing bacteria, virus and germs that are on a surface.
Vital Oxide is a hospital grade disinfectant that is EPA Registered and can be found on the N list as a product that successfully eliminates SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). This product is applied with an electrostatic sprayer, allowing every surface point to be sanitized. After 5 minutes, 99.999% of microbes are eliminated.
Personally, I use Vital Oxide all the time. I carry a bottle on me wherever I go. I use it in my home, my car, my office. EVERYWHERE!
The unique part of our process is our second product, though.
BioProtect is an anti-microbial surface protectant. EPA Registered and FDA Approved, this
product can be used in any facility, including areas where children and pets play and on food prep areas. Once again, we use our sprayer to lay down a protectant on all porous and non-porous surfaces and this barrier provides a continual elimination of any microbe that lands on this surface!
Just spray, mist or fog onto a surface directly from the bottle or electrostatic or ULV sprayer, it’s as easy as that! No rinse is required, even for food surface contact, and remains effective for up to 90 days.
You read that right--90 days. That's three months of continuous protection for you and your family.
How it works...
Upon application, the patented antimicrobial agent in our Step 2 product (BioProtect) chemically reacts with, and molecularly bonds to, the surface to which it is applied, becoming an integral and permanent part of that surface.
When applied to a surface or incorporated into a material, BP RTU (BioProtect) forms a covalent bond with the substrate and creates a microbiostatic antimicrobial coating. The coating forms a layer of spikes (self assembling monolayer), each of which carry a positive charge that attracts the negatively charged bacteria. Once attracted, the molecular spikes pierce the cell and rupture its cell membrane, causing the odor causing bacteria, bacteria which cause staining and discoloration, mold, mildew, fungi and algae to die.
Trust me, you won't have literal "spikes" growing out of your surfaces where the product was applied. These are undetectable by us, but the germs, microbes and bacteria will be destroyed by them!
As the coating dries, millions of microscopic antimicrobial “spike-like” appliances form and extend from the surface. These “spikes” are actually long chains of positively charged atoms, and represent a deadly dual-threat to microbes.
Once cured, the antimicrobial coating is invisible and completely harmless to humands, yet extraodrinarliy effective at eliminating harmful micro-organisms.
